Who are your role models?

In writing these blog posts over the past couple of days, I began to wonder who Eric Robinson's role models are in the rapper or movie producer genres.  I'm thinking people like Andre Romelle Young (net worth $550M), Marshall Mathers (net worth $160M), Sean Combs (net worth $700M!!), Sean Corey Carter (net worth $520M), O'Shea Jackson (net worth $140M) or Tracy Marrow (net worth only $40M), Prince Rogers Nelson ($300M - shocked that he's older than me)...

I highly doubt that any of these fine-ass, sexy MFs vandalize and destroy other people's homes, AND, if they do, I'm pretty sure they pay for it.  I don't think it's a matter of 'having the money', because Eric Robinson & London McKinnon have the money - I'd even accept payment terms - but they just don't seem to feel responsible or accountable for what they've done, or the costs they incurred on me.  They won't even tell me why they won't pay - they just tell me to shut up & go away.  Well, that ain't gonna happen, and I'm still not afraid of either one of them.

But if you want to be a big shot, instead of a punk-ass thug, MANN up to your responsibilities.  Emulate your role models.

What is a contract? What is 'conversion'?

A contract is a legally binding agreement between parties, outlining roles, responsibilities, terms, termination and consequences for failing to meet obligations by any of the parties.

In the event of default, the courts can issue a 'judgement' which is legally enforceable.

In this case, Eric D. Robinson, Jr. and London McKinnon entered into a legally binding contract, were legally evicted from the premises, were legally sued for damages, and (so far), a judgement has been entered against Eric for damages and liability in excess of $14,000.

London's lawsuit remains pending.  It seems she's having difficulty with her legal counsel.

*****Persons who operate businesses in the United States are conventionally expected to honor their contractual agreements and abide by terms and conditions thereof.  Persons who claim to be "CEO"s but fail to honor such obligations are just little boys playing house.  Putting on a crown does not make you a King. Assembling a following who admires the Emperor's New Clothes does not make you a well-dressed MANN.*****

Conversion is a felony, basically defined as treating someone else's property or belongings as your own.  Unfortunately, Landlord-Tenant law supercedes prosecution of this felony.

In addition, homeowners holding Landlord insurance should be aware that vandalism by tenants is not covered under the policy.

The utilities

Per the Lease that we all signed, Section 11 Utilities and Services (a): "Tenant is responsible for the following utilities and services: Electricity, Water, Gas, and Trash and Recycling and is required to register the utilities and services in Tenant's name.  Tenant understands and agrees that essential services are to be maintained and operational at all times".

Wow.  That's  a mouthful!

Well, they moved in August 21, 2012, and by January, 2013, the electricity had been turned off for non-payment.  What they did, at that point, was 'jump' the meter (re-connected it themselves) and used electricity free for the next eleven months.

When I called DTE to get it back into my name on 11/07/2013, when they FINALLY left, they told me they had to come out to turn it back on.  I was shocked & asked why.  They said because it had been off for non-payment since January!!  The neighbors told me they had all gotten nasty-grams from DTE about extremely high electric utilization on the court, but no one seemed to know why.  Hmmm...

When I confronted London about it, she said:

  1. It was none of my business (although the lease said it certainly was my business!), and

  2. They had been running a GENERATOR since January!  Now, someone had been to the house before Eric disconnected the meter again, and the electricity was ON, and there was no GENERATOR running.  Please! (honest, I have this in writing!)

The water bill and Waste Management had never been paid, for a total additional debt of over  $1,000.  I confronted Eric about that after they left, and he said he'd pay it.  Guess what???

The valance & the landscaping

The valance, attached to the kitchen wall by brackets and anchors and screws, and weighing about 40#, was custom made and matched the rest of the oak in the kitchen.  Eric said he didn't know I wanted it, so he threw it out.  London said "if you loved it so much, you should have took [sic] it with you".

Seriously? It was 7' long (covering the whole doorwall) and was made for the kitchen.

I suppose I should have taken the landscaping, too?
